General worker - Closing date 18 April

The company would like to recruit a suitable candidate that will be responsible for the general work in and around the mine area in Rietkuil siding. The candidate must reside in the Rietkuil and surrounding area as he/she will be responsible for his/her transport to and from the workplace.

Skills and Qualifications

Good communication skills

Good problem-solving skills

Grade 12

Familiar with Good housekeeping standards

Must understand the importance of working safely

Absolutely NO previous criminal record

Adhere to the job requirements

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

General basic maintenance work

Cleaning around the siding and offices

Cleaning of trenches

Cutting grass and removing vegetation around the siding

Cleaning of railway line according to Transnet standards

Cleaning of company vehicles

Must be able and willing to work shifts upon request

Must be able to work overtime on short notice

Be able to work in the open, in all weather and dusty conditions

Be able to understand reasonable instructions and execute them to satisfaction

Installing various signs around the siding
