Stock pile Supervisor - Phalandwa Colliery

The Company would like to recruit a Stockpile supervisor for the Phalanndwa Colliery in Delmas. The purpose of this role is to ensure quality control at the stockpiles and that the correct product is delivered to the client.

Skills and Qualifications

Grade 12

Computer literate with Advanced Ms Excel

Valid driver’s licence

3 years of related working experience in the mining industry

Other Skills and Competencies

Prior stockpile management experience essential

Good communication skills, particularly in English, with business writing skills

Stakeholder relationship management

Conflict Management

Knowledge of the mining industry

Main Duties and Responsibilites

Ensure that stockpiles are built as per the Company standards.

Ensure proper traffic management is adhered to at the stockyard area.

Call the nominated laboratory for sample collection.

Execute any lawful and reasonable instructions from the Stockpile and Weighbridge Manager

Liaise with Weighbridge operators on the stockpile being loaded.

Responsible for risk management in the area of operation.

Manage the run of mine (ROM) coal.

Ensure sampling is done as per the required standard.
